He was born in Mandar Bay (Mekkatta-Malunda), Majene, West Sulawesi, 9 September. In 1998, he chose to live in Yogyakarta and other cities in Java. He pursued a formal education at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and Oxford Course. He is active in a number of theatre communities and once worked as a journalist.

His writings have been published in Bernas Jogja, Minggu Pagi, Wawasan, Republika, Info Indonesia, SKH. Mimbar Karya Sul-Sel, Kompas, Harian Fajar Makassar, Kedaulatan Rakyat, Suara Merdeka Semarang, Aktual, Koran Sindo, Suara Pembaharuan, Majalah Arena, Majalah Sukma Banjarmasin, Pikiran Rakyat, Solo Pos, Koran Mandar, Kuntum, Serapo Kaltim, Radar Sulbar, Koran Singapur-Johor-Riau (SIJORI) Batam, Suara Muhammadiyah, Jurnal Ibda’, Jurnal Pohon, media-media online: titikkoma,com, Melayu Online, Mandar News.com, Kompas Online, Panyingkul.com, annoramedia.com, dan Suaramandar.com.
