He was born in Trenggalek, East Java, in 1964. He pursued his study from elementary school through Teacher Education School in the same city. In 1987, he passed the test to get scholar degree from Indonesian Language and Literature Program, IKIP Surabaya.
He writes poetry, essay and prose in Javanese and is one of the Modern Javanese writers. In 28030 October 2011, he is the Chief of Committee for Javanese Literature Congress (KSJ) III in Bojonegoro District, East Java. He was also a chairman of Association of Surabaya Javanese Literature Writers.
He publishes a number of books, namely Cinta Merah Jambu (JP-Books, 2005), Mimpi dan Badai (Logung Pustaka, 2005) and Semar Super (Surabaya, 2006). He still writes actively for national, local and online mass media.
